Its early afternoon in Sageway when Geoff recieves a call:
"Hello?"
"Hello, Mr Heppal?"
"Speaking."
"Hi, its Sageway Primary here. We've got Tom with us and he's a bit worried as no-ones picked him up."
"Oh...Laura, my daughter was supposed to...I wonder where she is. Hang on, I'm on my way down."
"Thanks Mr Heppal, see you in a bit."

At the Dixon's the kids are talking about their father's behaviour:
"Dee, Daniel....I know its awful but he's been acting horribly to mum!"
"Roxy....awful, AWFUL?! They're gonna get a divorce...Roxy, I don't want my family broken up."
"They won't be Dee, we'll still see Dad."
"But it won't be the same...I want Dad here."
"Yeah, everything might be better...Mum might be happier. What is it Daniel."
"I vote we make a pact...one to make Mum happy. If she doesn't want Dad here then he shouldn't be here."

"Yeah I agree...he's hurt mum and nan enough. We must make an alliance against him...after all, he spent ALL of my college fund!!! Dee?"
"I don't know...it seems a bit harsh..not speaking to him."
"We're not saying that, we just saying that there's no trying to get them back together. No talking about him in front of mum and nan and no helping him."
"Ummm,"
"Come on Dee...for Mum."
"Ok, I'm in."

"What's going on in here guys??"
"Nothing Mum, nothing."
"OK, well tea's ready and then shall we do something...a movie or something??"
"Yeah cool!!"
"Ok Daniel, well you pick a movie and I'll get the table set."
"Mum..."
"Yes Dee."

"I'm sorry about earlier."
"Dee, don't worry dear. Its gonna be tough on us all but we'll get through it, don't worry."

At Cathy's Geoff arrives with Tom:
"Harry...have you seen Laura?"
"Why what's happe..."
"HAVE YOU SEEN HER?!"
"No...what the hell's going on?"
"She was supposed to pick up Tom from school. She never got there. I've just seen Max and Jason Tomlin and they said she left with another girl to go pick him up..she never got there!"
"Oh My God Geoff. Ok have you phoned the hospitals?"
"Yeah, no accidents or anything like that, Harry we have to find her."

"I just drove around after I picked Tom up, I can't find her."
"Geoff, ok, have you been to mine?"
"No, but your here, why would she be there?"
"I don't know. Ok look I'm gonna to mine. You take Tom home and if she's not at mine then we'll call the police ok?"
"Ok....Harry."
"I know Geoff but don't think about it...she'll be fine I'm sure."

"Marc!?"
"Hi Keith.."
"What the hell, its been a while. How you doing?"
"Ok I guess, got a babysitter for the afternoon cause I needed to get out of that house."

"Mate, I'm sorry I haven't been around in a while...been so busy with work."
"Don't worry, I've been needing to wallow for a bit. Anyhow your Kate's been around a lot."
"Oh, has she?"
"Yeah, you know, bringing me food and stuff. Helping with Chris."
"Oh ok. Glad to know you've been looked after. What you been up to today?"
"Oh, I've just been up to the graveyard. Put some flowers on Carrie's grave. Keith..I still can't believe it, I keep waiting for her to walk back through the door and apologise for disappearing on some long holiday or something."

"I don't even know how to start feeling how it must be for you."
"Well you don't ever want it. Pray every night that nothing ever happens to Kate. I can't explain how I feel, I guess just empty. At least there's Chris but he reminds me of his mother so much so I find it difficult to be with him sometimes."
"I must come round and see the little fellow. He must be getting big now. Marc, up for a game?"
"Yeah whynot, I've got till late."

At the hospital Pauls out of the clinic:
"Sydney.."
"Hiya, what did he say?"
"Man...you scared me soo much girl! But...its all alright! Its an inflamed lymph gland or something like, he's given me antibiotics and it should go down within a couple of days."

"Oh Paul, I'm so glad."
"Thanks Syd, that was scary. I hadn't even thought about it, I mean I knew it was there but it hadn't crossed my mind."
"Paul...you've got to look after yourself!!"
"I know. Hey, lets go celebrate.."
"Well I'm off in 10mins anyway so lets sneak off now!! Come on."

"Jen..I can't believe this is actually going to happen!! We're gonna have a baby!!"
"I know, and I'm so, so glad that I can help!! Most friends only get to babysit etc...I get to carry it! Man...thats a big responsibility and I'm so glad."
"Jen, we're so glad. Its an unbelievable thing your doing for us!! Fingers crossed it works hey! Sangeev, we're gonna be parents, at last!!"
"I know babe, I can't believe it!! Cathy, this is my dream come true!!"

"Ok folks, that's everything sorted. All the forms are signed and so we can go ahead with the process."
"Thankyou Dr Fischer, this is soo great."
"Now, I've arranged for a nurse to come and see you at home. Her name's Sydney Marshall and she'll pop by in the next week or so to see how your getting along and you can ask her any questions you need to. Now as soon as we feel your ready we'll book you in and we'll extract the eggs ok."
"Ok, well I'm ready now!!"
"lol, Cathy, I know your eager but we have to do this properly and you need to follow the exercise and diet instructions first so we can get your body and eggs in tip top condition. Ok so let me know how your doing, speak to Sydney and hopefully I'll see you again within the next month."
"Ok Dr, thanks."

"Hey Marc, Keith..Hi guys."
"Hi Paul, how's things going?"
"Yeah good! This is er my, well my girlfriends I guess. Sydney this is Keith and Marc."
"Hiya, nice to meet both of you. Hey, anyone want drinks?"
"Hang on a minute...I know you...."

"Your the nurse that looked after Carrie Martin!"
"Yeah, Oh My God, Marc? Hi, I didn't recognize you sorry."
"Paul!!! What the hell are you doing?"
"What do you mean."
"I mean while my wife was dying you were copping off with her nurse!!"
"It was after!!"
"WHAT?! So we were putting my wife in the ground and you were getting jiggy with nurse Marshall...YOU SHALLOW, UNCARING,  BAR"

"Marc, come on.."
"NO....HE'S RUINED EVERYTHING!!!"
"Marc, come on, lets go.."

Back at the Heppal house Geoff still hasn't heard from Laura:
"Now Tom, this is really important. Did Laura say anything about going somewhere else before picking you up?"
"No...she was gonna go to the diner and then come straight to school."
"Are you sure, really think, really think Tom."
"There's nothing else, she was gonna pick me straight up."
"Ok, let me get that and please try and think Tom, please!"

"Hello??...Hello??? Laura is that you???"
"Hello Mr Heppal, if you ever want to see your daughter alive Mr Heppal I suggest you follow my instructions very carefully. You are to tell no-one, nor the police, if you do I WILL kill her. Bring me Harry Neal, thats all you need to do."
"How...where.."
"I'll phone with more instructions."
