The Bakeathon - Recently the SSW (Society for Simmish Women) has been meeting regularly, at least every two weeks. We either watch a film, do some painting, or just have a natter. Its a great way to stay connected to the community and due recent times and the rumours flying about the Simmish Prophecy it gives us some comfort to know that others are feeling scared and confused. Our lives seemed to have stopped since the news of the Prophecy...is it worth having another child, starting a new business, making new friends when later this year our lives will be turned upside down. Mayor Sally Phillips has already said that sims do not have to convert and it will be sad to see some sims go. I myself will convert, my children are very excited and so I'm not losing them, however close friends of mine will not and so we will all lose many friends. However we cannot just stop and wait for this phenomenon to come, we need to carry on with our lives and live with the friends that we'll lose. So Rita Gamming organised the bakeathon. It was an absolutely great day had by all and I got to chat to many women I hadn't met before. So a huge thankyou to Rita. The idea was to sell the cakes but you know what we're like...we ended up eating it all!! Anyway we had fun and that's what counts. The next SSW meet will be at Magdeline Oognata's where she'll talk to us all about breeding and showing poodles.
